Say 'YES' to Fighting Hunger

Why fight hunger?

Every day around the world, including Western New York, children suffer in poverty and go without necessary nutrition.

Did you know that 52% of children are on free or reduced lunch program across Western New York and might not eat until returning to school the following day?

Did you know that 1 in 5 children in Haiti suffers from malnutrition, stunting their growth and threatening their lives? 60% of people in Haiti live on less than $2 (US) per day. Despite years of charitable relief, the outlook of living in Haiti has not improved.  Malnutrition, a crisis of sanitation, educational and economic stagnation persist. In many cases, it's the children who pay the price.

How to fight hunger!

Elevating Christian Ministries is saying 'YES' and building bread ovens, hiring bakers, grinding whole wheat grain and baking nutritional whole wheat rolls at schools all across Haiti.

More than 1.5 million rolls have been served since 2016, serving 3,000 children daily.

Elevating Christian Ministries has partnered with Burger King Franchises in the Western New York Region to fight hunger in Haiti. In 2017, select Burger Kings, raised $50,000 to provide 20,000 nutritional meals for children. So far in 2018, over $20,000 has been raised providing about 8,500 meals to children!

Throughout 2018 and during campaigns, Burger King will ask you to say 'YES' to fighting hunger both at home and in Haiti. Help us fight hunger and feed the next generation.

Proceeds from the 'YES' campaign go towards at-risk women and children who are in need of nutritional support and more. Elevating Christian Ministries is saying 'YES' to change that.

Elevating Christian Ministries has also partnered with two local WNY organizations to fight hunger to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for families in severe need across WNY.
