Tis the season to be grateful. Your generous donations have allowed us to give to the community, our country and several places around the globe. At Christmas time and always, ECM wants to be a Light for Jesus by breaking the cycle of poverty with income-generating projects. Here are some of the amazing things that are happening locally, nationally and globally.
There are a lot of families around the holidays that don’t have a place to go. This month ECM is trying to lower that number and bring some hope to families in need. On December 22nd at Greece Ridge Mall, Elevating Christian Ministries is bringing joy to the world and rolling out the red carpet for A Family Christmas. Families will have a guided Christmas experience with delicious holiday treats, family photo and to top it off a present from Santa for the kids. This event will help spread joy and love to many people in Rochester that need it most. If you've love to be a part of all things merry and bright, we'd love it! Find out how!
One of the key strategies of ECM is to partner with solid organizations that share similar goals.
In Jefferson County, the organization Campus Impressions help kids in high school develop in more ways than one. Children are so important to our country and will make a huge impression on the future of our nation. Such a great cause that we are thrilled to be a part of! Stay tuned for a detailed blog about some of these impactful programs!
Everyone knows that the Florida Keys and surround countries suffered a very traumatic hurricane in September. The unbelievable amount of devastation could not go unnoticed. ECM is committed to helping the communities most affected rebuild what they lost. Partnering with organizations like Sister Season makes it easier for us to help the Keys come back on their feet.
There are so many places that need help in this world and we are determined to help make a big change. ECM is making an impact in both Haiti and Mexico.
Haiti has been one of our biggest projects. The biggest need in Haiti is food for children. School is usually the only place where kids get fed. In the past, there was only enough food in the schools to feed the children once every other day. Your generous donations allowed us to provide bread ovens for the children. After many months of hard work and commitment, ECM is now feeding over 3,000 kids and has created several jobs.
Mexico, although a beautiful country, has a large need for hygiene help. ECM has teamed up with Zumapoop to help educate the children in Moctezuma on sustainable hygiene, and how to build the toilets and hand-washing units with the communities help. This is one of our newer projects that will help both kids and adults, many of whom don’t even have a restroom in their own home.
If you would like to be a part of any of these projects, we'd love to partner with you. We're looking forward to an exciting 2018 and praying that God will use us to bring hope by meeting needs with sustainability in sight.
